As a journalist, I want to write.
I want to create thought-provoking content and commentary about marginalized, under-represented and humanistic issues, and present these in a way that creates discussion, awareness and acknowledgment.
I want to create understanding for issues that people might not know exist, and open up people’s minds to all of the problems, diversity, differences and aspects of life that aren’t well-known or well documented. I want to educate people so that they can become more understanding and compassionate to those around them.
I want to travel all over the world and meet the widest range of people from the widest range of backgrounds and experiences as I can, and I want to open my mind completely to every possible experience I can.
Above all else, I aim to stay true to who I am, regardless of where my career takes me. I will not consider myself less qualified to do my job than someone else based on my gender. I aim to keep my morals and be the best person that I can be.
